Project Design Engineer – Role Overview:

The role of the Project Design Engineer is to liaise between the Design Manager, Project Manager and Manufacturing Managers to assist in all technical disciplines involved in a project.

As a Project Design Engineer you will be the primary technical point of contact for all queries relating to design changes.


Project Design Engineer – Main Duties:

Create technical design solutions to meet project needs.

Evaluate, organise and prioritise workload within a schedule.

Manage all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements related to the design.

Collaborating and liaising with designers and production to identify engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented.

Review the output for each design and test work packages to ensure accuracy and thoroughness.

Interpretation and implementation of client / customer specifications to enable successful technical delivery of project.


Project Design Engineer – Candidate Requirements:

Proven ability in using SolidWorks

Ability to create Manufacturing and Production Drawings

Ability to create work instructions

Full understanding of the ECR process

Ability to work and collaborate with cross functional teams
