Site Project Manager (contract) – initially 6 months
£250 – £300 per day

We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated site-based Project Manager to oversee a major cleanroom project in the Edinburgh area. This is a contract position and will initially be for 6 months, although there may be scope for another 2-3 months depending on how the project goes.
You will have overall responsibility for the on-site coordination of the project, managing day to day operational aspects of the project to ensure that business and client objectives are met.
Responsibilities will include adhering to agreed budgets, ensuring that all necessary project documentation is complete, current and correctly organised, managing subcontractors and communicating effectively with both the planning team at Head Office (in Lancaster) and the client on site.
Working with the company’s team of on-site installation and validation engineers as well as a number of subcontractors, you will work to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within scope and within budget. You will submit regular project status reports, evaluating the success of the project and sharing lessons learned and best practice with the company’s operations team following completion of the contract. The role will be for an initial six-month period with the option to extend up to a further three months and will be based in Edinburgh.
The role reports to the Operations Manager and you will work closely with the company’s planning and procurement, engineering and product development teams as well as he wider MCR operations team. You should have a relevant project management qualification or equivalent experience, including on cleanroom projects.
- Project Management experience including subcontract liaison (mechanical and electrical)
- Cleanroom project management experience
- CDM regulations
- H&S Level 2
- Membership of a relevant professional body, e.g. CIBSE
- Commercial awareness
- Understanding of detailed diagrams, plans and drawings
- Knowledge of building regs requirements and environmental legislations (CIBSE/HSE compliance)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Formal HSE training such as IOSH, NEBOSH
- PRINCE 2
- Surveying experience
- Experience of working within an SME
- Experience of GMP
