Melbreck Technical are working with a leading designer and manufacturer of Medical Devices based in the South of London.
Responsible for the provision of direct service and support activities for the complete product range across the United Kingdom and Ireland, and for the provision of support for the global distributor network with their service and support activities. The role encompasses occasional work in the field carrying out service, maintenance, updates and installation.
Provide telephone support to installed and prospective customer base as required
To participate as required in an on-call rota scheme to provide support out of normal business hours, subject to qualifying period
To perform equipment maintenance, overhaul and repair
To assemble, test, document and despatch new systems as required
To install and commission new, loan and repaired systems as required
To document all work undertaken on appropriate company information systems
To process and investigate customer complaints as required
To provide or assist with the provision of customer and colleague technical and application training as required
To work within specified Quality Assurance processes and guidelines
Qualifications and experience
HNC/HND or higher degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline is essential.
Proven track record customer facing field service or technical support environment.
Experience within the medical device industry preferred
Clean full driving license
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent fault-finding and problem solving abilities
Good IT skills
Flexible approach to work
