Melbreck Technical are working exclusively with the Parker Hannifin Corporation, who are the global leaders in motion and control technologies. Offering precision engineered solutions for Aerospace, Climate Control, Electromechanical and Filtration.

We are working with Parker to identify Graduate talent to join their business as part of their 2020 International Graduate Programme.

International Engineering Sales Graduate Programme Overview:

Sales are an integral part of Parker’s success and they have a dedicated sales company in the UK. This sales company unites all of Parker’s divisions in order to sell their products worldwide.

Parker partners with their customers to develop long standing relations and are therefore seeking professionals who have the ability to develop business with ethics and integrity.


International Engineering Sales Graduate Programme Job Purpose:

The role will be based within the UK & Ireland Sales Company.  You will have exposure to Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Engineering and Supply Chain whilst supported by the UK Sales Company Leadership team during this 2-year programme. This will include a placement of at least six months spent outside of the UK in main-land Europe.


International Engineering Sales Graduate Programme Job Responsibilities:

  1. Seek to maximise learning opportunities within each placement
  2. Develop knowledge and skills required for each placement undertaken
  3. Provide a first line of response to queries in their functional area from internal and external contacts.
  4. Have responsibility for managing your own workload during each placement, responding directly to requests.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to identify problems that need resolving and seek to find processes to address the issues.
  6. Support the wider team in each placement and participate in lean and business improvement opportunities including High Performance Teams.


International Engineering Sales Graduate Programme Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in an engineering or commercial discipline, will have commercial acumen and a drive to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Must have geographical flexibility to move to any Parker location both during and upon completion of the programme
  • Must be fluent in English, a second European language would be beneficial
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, disciplined and a self-starter
  • Have excellent communication skills with a focus on accuracy, detail and deadlines.


International Engineering Sales Graduate Programme hours and benefits:

Typically, your hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week, but the times that you are working from Monday to Friday may change depending on the division you work for at that specific time.

You will be automatically enrolled into the company pension scheme after your first two complete months of employment.

They offer a bonus scheme which you will be eligible for after your first successful six months in the business.
