Melbreck Technical are working exclusively with the Parker Hannifin Corporation, who are the global leaders in motion and control technologies. Offering precision engineered solutions for Aerospace, Climate Control, Electromechanical and Filtration.

We are working with Parker to identify Graduate talent to join their business as part of their 2020 International Graduate Programme.

International Engineering Graduate Programme Overview:

 Engineering at Parker involves a wide range of techniques and industries and whatever their clients are looking for, they have it.

From research and development to quality and production they offer a wide range of engineering opportunities throughout your career, and this is where the International Engineering Graduate Programme fits in.

 The International Engineering Graduate Programme is made up of four placements covering a total of two years.

To gain skills, knowledge and experience in engineering and business functions across divisions in the UK and EMEA.

The work undertaken will be challenging and business critical, giving exposure to different areas of Engineering and Business functions.  Project experience include Operations, Engineering, Sales and Marketing and Supply Chain.

Full support will be given throughout the Programme to work towards a professional accreditation (e.g. IMechE).

 

International Engineering Graduate Programme Responsibilities:

  1. You will have the responsibility for managing your own workload during your placement, responding directly to requests from senior team members.
  2. You will provide a first line of response to queries in your functional area from internal and external contacts.
  3. Identify problems that need resolving and seek to find processes to address them.
  4. Makes decisions in your area of responsibility and communicate these directly.
  5. Seek all learning opportunities and develop your knowledge and skills required for each of the roles and from people within your wider team.

International Engineering Graduate Programme Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Must have geographical flexibility to move to any Parker location both during and upon completion of the programme.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • A second European language would be beneficial.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in the Engineering discipline (pure or combined), minimum 2:1 (or equivalent).

 

 International Engineering Graduate Programme hours and benefits:

Typically, your hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week, but the times that you are working from Monday to Friday may change depending on the division you work for at that specific time.

You will be automatically enrolled into the company pension scheme after your first two complete months of employment.

They offer a bonus scheme which you will be eligible for after your first successful six months in the business.
